Benevity

Does your company use Benevity for workplace giving? Then you can donate to IMATX from your work giving portal. Search for "IMATX" or our EIN 41-3413786. Many companies match your gift, so your donation can count double.

Benevity collects the gifts and sends them to us in a monthly payment, so it can take some weeks to reach IMATX. Your receipt comes from Benevity. Not sure if your company uses it? Ask your HR or giving team.

IMATX is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity (EIN 41-3413786), so your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Keep your Zelle or PayPal receipt for your records. If your employer matches gifts but does not use Benevity, use our EIN when you ask. Any surplus from a program goes to the IMATX general fund to support our year-round mission. Questions about a gift: imatx.sec@gmail.com.

When we open a special fund, for example for a family in our circle or for relief after a disaster, it gets its own page on our donation site. The page says what the money is for and when the fund closes. After it closes, we post the total and where it went.

The Qurban Experience Austin — Eid al-Adha 1447 (May 2026)

Alhamdulillah, this year we did Qurban together as one community. The donation drive was open until 25 May, and everyone chose one of two options when they gave:

  • Option A · Obligation. One lamb or goat ($300–450), or one share of a cow ($300 for 1/7). This fulfils your own qurban. The treasurer wrote down every name so the niyyah is recorded.
  • Option B · Experience. Any amount, to support the community program. This does not fulfil your own qurban, so you still need to do it somewhere else.

We started with a Family Halaqah on 9 May with Ustadz Abdullah Suzek, hosted by Rio and Za Velarde. On Eid day, 27 May, we prayed together in the morning and then went to the farm for the sacrifice. After that the meat was cut and packed into portions to share. We closed with Halal Bihalal on 7 June. Terima kasih to every donor, and to everyone who came to the farm and helped with the meat.

Alhamdulillah, our community iftar at the Islamic Center of Lake Travis was a big success. It fell on the same night as the ICLT Ramadan Bazaar, so the garden was full. Thank you to every volunteer who cooked, carried water, cleaned the patio, and served, and to every donor. We hope to do it again next year.
