How to donate
Zelle
Send to imatx.sec@gmail.com
Please write the purpose in the memo, for example "General fund", "Qurban", or "Iftar". Zelle has no transaction fee, so 100% reaches the program.
PayPal
Use our PayPal payment link. Add a note with the purpose of your gift.
PayPal keeps a small fee from each payment.
Benevity
Does your company use Benevity for workplace giving? Then you can donate to IMATX from your work giving portal. Search for "IMATX" or our EIN 41-3413786. Many companies match your gift, so your donation can count double.
Benevity collects the gifts and sends them to us in a monthly payment, so it can take some weeks to reach IMATX. Your receipt comes from Benevity. Not sure if your company uses it? Ask your HR or giving team.
IMATX is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity (EIN 41-3413786), so your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Keep your Zelle or PayPal receipt for your records. If your employer matches gifts but does not use Benevity, use our EIN when you ask. Any surplus from a program goes to the IMATX general fund to support our year-round mission. Questions about a gift: imatx.sec@gmail.com.
Special campaigns
All funds on donate.imatx.orgWhen we open a special fund, for example for a family in our circle or for relief after a disaster, it gets its own page on our donation site. The page says what the money is for and when the fund closes. After it closes, we post the total and where it went.

The Qurban Experience Austin — Eid al-Adha 1447 (May 2026)
- Lamb or goat
- $300–450
- Cow share (1/7)
- $300
- Farm Day
- 27 May 2026
- Status
- Done
Alhamdulillah, this year we did Qurban together as one community. The donation drive was open until 25 May, and everyone chose one of two options when they gave:
- Option A · Obligation. One lamb or goat ($300–450), or one share of a cow ($300 for 1/7). This fulfils your own qurban. The treasurer wrote down every name so the niyyah is recorded.
- Option B · Experience. Any amount, to support the community program. This does not fulfil your own qurban, so you still need to do it somewhere else.
We started with a Family Halaqah on 9 May with Ustadz Abdullah Suzek, hosted by Rio and Za Velarde. On Eid day, 27 May, we prayed together in the morning and then went to the farm for the sacrifice. After that the meat was cut and packed into portions to share. We closed with Halal Bihalal on 7 June. Terima kasih to every donor, and to everyone who came to the farm and helped with the meat.

"Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you."Surah Al-Hajj 22:37
Planning Qurban for next year? Email imatx.sec@gmail.com and we will let you know when the drive opens.

Alhamdulillah, our community iftar at the Islamic Center of Lake Travis was a big success. It fell on the same night as the ICLT Ramadan Bazaar, so the garden was full. Thank you to every volunteer who cooked, carried water, cleaned the patio, and served, and to every donor. We hope to do it again next year.

After the November 2025 floods in North Sumatra and Aceh, we held a food sale at Harper Park on 20 December and raised $2,765. As decided in the community meeting on 21 December 2025, the full amount (Rp 46,818,802 at Rp 16,933 per dollar) was transferred to partners on the ground:
| Where it went | Recipient | Amount (IDR) |
|---|---|---|
| School restoration, Langkat, North Sumatra | Via Eka Ratnasari (Wise) | 15,501,532 |
| Rapid aid to cyclone victims in Aceh | Collective Altruism Indonesia | 15,567,270 |
| Aceh regional distribution (three local coordinators) | Taruna Kp Arul Badak · Mata Garuda LPDP · Laziswaf Al Manar | 15,750,000 |
Eka, a Fulbright scholar and UT Austin alumna who joined our pengajian, went home to teach in Langkat and led the school restoration herself. With the joint funds from IMATX, fellow Fulbrighters, the US and Australia, 12 heavily damaged schools got cleaned up and re-equipped so 451 teachers and 6,153 students could sit their final exams, and 310 packets of notebooks and stationery went to students in three schools in January 2026.
